Solomon, Solomon Joseph
(1860–1927)
   English painter. Solomon was a fashionable Edwardian painter of portraits and allegorical frescoes, and was president of the Royal Society of British Artists (1918). During World War I he developed the use of camouflage for military purposes. He was a founder and the first president of the Maccabean Society.
