Selznick, David
(1902–65)
   US film producer. As production vice- president at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Selznick was regarded as Hollywood’s top producer and was responsible for such classics as Gone with the Wind (1939), Rebecca (1940), Anna Karenina (1948), A Star is Born (1954), and A Farewell to Arms (1957).
