Schuster, Max Lincoln
(1897–1971)
   US publisher. Schuster was the co- founder of the firm of Simon and Schuster, and of Pocket Books Inc., the first large-scale publishers of paperbacks in the United States. Simon and Schuster produced Little Golden Books, a popular children’s series. Schuster was an active Jew and interested in the State of Israel.
